Air Surface Integration Lessons

Picture1The Air Surface Integration Lessons Learned is a project designed to conduct a study into Afghanistan Air Surface Integration (ASI) Lessons Learned in order to identify lessons that have:

  • Associated training implications;
  • Legal issues related to using indigenous ground controllers to conduct cross-national JTAC/FAC activities.

The aim is to identify the ASI lessons drawn from Afghanistan that could have practical inputs to training and force generation.

The Project is in its firsts steps and the EAG is considered an appropriate forum for the project because it can provide a small team that can act quickly to identifying where similar Lessons have been experienced by the 7 EAG Member Nations and because the nature of the project is directly related to the main objective of the EAG, “to improve the operational capabilities of the Parties’ Air Forces to carry out operations in pursuit of shared interests, primarily through mechanisms which enhance interoperability“
