Euro Typhoon Interoperability Project
On 9 Nov 2010, the EAG Working Group, at a meeting at RAF High Wycombe endorsed progression of the European Typhoon Expeditionary Air Wing Project. The aim of the Project was to prospose potential agreements for:
- Shared assets for deployments involving more than one nation.
- Common engineering and standards for approvals for mulitnational maintenance.
- Multinational Air and Ground Crew training with a focus on the common air platform
- Exchange of pertinent data and information.
Discussions with interested nations is still ongoing and the structure and shape of the project is still to be determined with confirmed interested parties. However, the project was renamed to European Typhoon Interoperability Project (ETIP) during the EAG WG Meeting in Bonn in March 2011.
