A400M OUG
The objective of the EAG is to improve the operational capabilities of the Parties’ Air Forces to carry out operations in pursuit of shared interests, primarily through mechanisms which enhance interoperability. The common development and acquisition of the A400M by 5 EAG Nations opens windows of opportunity to timely address interoperability and commonality issues. Nations have already indicated that the A400M, as a common development project, would bring inherent interoperability advantages among European partners. The general objective of the A400M OUG is to offer a permanent forum currently under the aegis of the EAG where A400M operational users’ interest can be represented. The ultimate goal is to develop the ability to operate together in combined deployed operations but also to allow synergies and gain efficiency in daily operations and training.
