EDA
After having supported the build up of the EATC by providing the draft operational concept and manning support for the EATC IMT in BEA UVECHAIN the EAG was asked to provide expertise and advice to the EDA’s EATF project.
In its developmen t the EADs EATF initiative has transformed from the initial focus on a common joint Fleet/Sqn based on the A400M to a very broad framework encompassing almost all aspects of operating together and sharing assets in operational, training and logistic issues.
This is considerably changing the assistance the EAG can provide in the process until operational issues will come back into focus.
14 nations have signed a LoI on the 17 Nov 09 (including all EAG nations with the exception of GBR). Two more intend to sign in the near future.
The EAG continues to monitor and support the EDAs EATF activities. The C-130 EMS terms of reference have been made available to the EDA as under the umbrella of the EATF a C-130 Operator User group encompassing Operations, Training and Maintenance is likely to be formed.
