SATCOM

Aim
The aim of the project is to collect information concerning all interoperable SATCOM equipment available within the EAG community. An interoperability matrix has been built up as a result of the Bench Tests and exercises carried out under the auspices of the EAG. All the configurations as tested and validated during such events along with any relevant technical data are as well contained in the SATCOM interoperability manual.

SATCOM Interoperability Manual
The aim of the Interoperability Manual, at the link, is to make planners aware of the possible interoperability among the different satellite systems and their capability during multinational operations. At the same time, it should be considered as a tool to help technicians to connect and configure all available satellite systems in a multinational environment, thus optimising the resources in the field. It is composed of four different sections.

  • Section 1 identifies the EAG nations’ satellite capability, including equipment type, features and coverage.
  • Section 2 provides all configurations tested together with all relevant data.
  • Section 3 summarises all results achieved on multiplexers.
  • Section 4 contains information about the procedures to put in place and the forms to be used for requesting access to the spatial segment of the different systems.
