AMP

The aim of the Air Movements Project is to improve interoperability between the EAG nations in the air movements arena. Interoperable air movements procedures are essential for a more effective use of scarce air transport assets. Within the project, specific sub-projects have been developed covering:

  • An Air Movement Capability Handbook;
  • Common air movements dispatch processes, including the establishment of a multinational Combined Air Terminal Operations (CATO);
  • Interoperable Load Clearance (ILC) procedures;
  • Harmonization of Dangerous Air Good regulations;
  • Standardized documentation.

Advanced Interoperable Load Management Course

P1020492

Following the results of the first EAG tutored Multinational Cargo Handling Course, hosted and supported by the Belgian Air Force at the Technical Training School in Sint-Truiden in September 2010,  the Air Movement Project Panel agreed that the EAG should organize the second Course, at Sint-Truiden School (BEL) and at Eindhoven AFB Cargo Terminal (NLD),  in June 11. The renamed “Advanced Interoperable Load Management Course” was attended by 18 experienced movers coming from EAG Nations, plus NOR and SWE. The Course was intended to be a prototype training activity (theory and practice) in order to standardize Cargo handling procedures and to build up common knowledge among EAG Movers. EATC contributed to the Course during the practice phase. Thanks to the success of this initiative the EAG LOGS, along with national SMEs, will be now organizing the Advanced Course on a permanent basis which will be hosted every year by one of the EAG Member Nations.  The next Course will be held in Italy in 2012.

Calling Notice for combined 19th AMP, 13th ILC and 3rd DG(A) Meetings to be held 3 – 5 May 11.
