ILC

ILC has been identified as a major area where improvements in interoperability are required in order to facilitate combined operations involving the member nations.
The medium to long-term aims of the EAC/EAG Air Movements Project include:

  • Standardisation of load clearance procedures;
  • Introduction of common load clearance standards;
  • Introduction of multinational load clearance centres across Europe working to common procedures;
  • Introduction of common aircraft role equipment for restraining cargo in aircraft;

The first milestone was the establishment of consensus on the International Load Summary Sheet (ILSS) and the Generic Load Clearance Process that could be consolidated in a TA.

Standardized documents
Currently nations use different documentation (Passenger & Cargo Manifests, Customs Declaration, DG Shipper’s Declaration, NOTOC, etc). Although (most of them) contain the same information, they may differ in format and, frequently, are not recognised by other Nations.
Standardised and harmonized documentation across the whole of the EAG Air Transport arena would greatly improve interoperability
