Vol10_ORL100609msh_036The Co-ordination Board (CB) is a committee comprising one specialist representative of each Participant and representatives of the permanent staff of the European Air Group, which plans and supervises the overall activities under the Aviation Medicine Technical Arrangement, and acts as custodian of the TA. Decisions will be taken by consensus (majority).  The EAG representatives at the CB will not have voting right. The representatives for each Participant will also act as nation point of contact (POC) of the activities related to this TA.

The CB will ordinarily meet twice a year, by the middle and by the end of the year. It will also meet extraordinarily at the request of a Participant and with the consent of the other Participants.

At any meeting, the CB may:

a. Propose amendments to the TA and its associated Annexes;

b. Amend the Appendixes to the Annexes;

c. Co-ordinate activities with other relevant boards;

d. Appoint the Secretariat; and

e. Examine any proposal raised by any Participant.

At the mid-year ordinary meeting, the CB will:

-   Agree and update the current overall programme of planned activities;

-   Review the last 6 months work and approve the proposed programme for the following year (Y+1) and the year after (Y+2);

-   Evaluate the results and draw consequences from the AV MED activities of the completed year, based on the Annual AV MED Report; and

-   Elect a Chairman for the following year.

At the end of the year ordinary meeting, the CB will:

Evaluate the results and consider recommendations based on the AV MED activities of the completed year and the Annual AV MED Report; and

Approve the programme of planned activities for the following year.
