VOLCANEX 08/CATO
During the period 3/14 Nov 08, the manning of the Dutch Air Force Terminal at Eindhoven Airbase was augmented by 13 personnel from three EAG nations (BEL, DEU and ITA) plus NOR, to increase the peacetime establishment of the Dutch handling organisation. The Multinational CATO handled all the incoming and outgoing flights to and from the main air transport base of the Netherlands in support of a rotation of the Dutch ISAF contingent. The exercise achieved a double milestone: first, the Multinational CATO was deployed to a main operating base fulfilling the handling requirement of the Host Nation; second, the CATO was in direct support of a real-life operation and not limited to an exercise scenario.
