BOLD AVENGER 07
This NATO exercise was conducted in Orland (NOR). HQ CC-Air Ramstein, provided the NATO C2 structure and participating nations with the opportunity to conduct combined tactical air operations, in a realistic crisis management scenario. Additionally, it offered the opportunity to test the capability of the Host Nation (HN) and Sending Nations (SN) to mount a DOB according to the NRF concept, including all the Logistic and Real Life inputs. The EAG proposed that CC-Air Ramstein and NOR activate a multinational CATO to manage the air movement of passengers and freight in Orland, working in accordance with the EAG CATO SOPs, with NOR acting as HN/LN.
LOYAL ARROW 09 – EAG MULTINATIONAL CATO
During the period 25 May/25 Jun 09, a multinational CATO was established at Kallax/Luleå (SWE) using the Italian deployable structure. At the request of the ItAF, the DCATO was augmented with multinational personnel (22) from European Air Group nations and Sweden. 
This event opened opportunities to contribute to NATO led exercises and to test EAG SOPs in direct support of intensive flying activity during LAW09. The multinational CATO handled a significant variety of military and civilian carriers (including B747/200, B757, and B737), 700,000.00 lbs of cargo and about 800 passengers. All personnel completely integrated in the multinational structure and the EAG CATO SOPs proved, once again, to be consistent with operational requirements.
